Honey Butter Chicken Sandwiches

These sandwiches were perfectly crispy and the honey butter just topped it off.






Why would I ever buy a sandwich when these are so much better!

These honey butter sandwiches were the best additional to our dinner table.


Honey Butter Chicken Sandwiches


Ingredients:

  • 6 brioche buns

  • 6 chicken thighs Wet mixture:

  • - 1 c. buttermilk

  • - 2 tbsp. hot sauce

  • - 3 tbsp. pickle juice

  • - 1 egg

  • - 2 tsp. smoked paprika

  • - 1 tsp. black pepper

  • - 1 tsp. garlic powder

  • - 1 tsp. onion powder

  • - 1 tsp. garlic salt Dry mixture:

  • 2 c. flour

  • 2 tbsp. cornstarch

  • 1 tbsp. baking powder

  • 1 tsp. smoked paprika

  • ½ tsp. black pepper

  • 1 tsp. garlic powder

  • 1 tsp. onion powder

  • 1 tsp. garlic salt

  • ½ tsp. cayenne Honey butter sauce:

  • ½ c. salted butter

  • ½ c. honey

  • ¼ tsp. garlic powder

  • ¼ tsp. onion powder

  • ¼ tsp. black pepper

  • ¼ tsp. cayenne pepper

  • 2 tbsp. cilantro

Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, combine wet mixture ingredients

  2. In another bowl combine dry mixture ingredients

  3. Coat chicken thighs in dry mixture, wet mixture, then dry mixture again (repeat for each thigh)

  4. Let coated chicken rest for 5-10 minutes

  5. Preheat airfryer to 350F

  6. Add chicken to airfryer (about 2 at a time) and cook for about 15 minutes, flipping halfway (7-8 minutes on each side)

  7. While chicken is cooking, make sauce by adding the butter, honey, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, cayenne, and cilantro to a skillet

  8. Once chicken is cooked, coat in honey butter sauce

  9. Assemble sandwich with pickles, honey butter chicken, and slaw. Enjoy!
