These wings are the perfect balance of sweet and spicy!
Hot honey wings
Ingredients:
1 lb wings
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp garlic powder
½ tsp Cajun seasoning
1 tbsp chili powder
1 tsp smoked paprika
½ tsp salt
¼ tsp black pepper
½ c corn starch
1 tbsp butter
½ c hot sauce
½ c honey
Instructions:
Pat wings dry and then season with olive oil, onion powder, garlic powder, Cajun seasoning, chili powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper
Once wings are seasoned, add in your corn starch and make sure all wings are coated (the cornstarch helps get them crispy)
Let wings marinate for at least an hour
Preheat oven to 400F
Once oven is at 400F, cook wings for 1 hour, flipping them halfway through
Once the wings are almost done cooking, make the hot honey sauce by melting butter on a skillet
Once butter is melted, add in your hot sauce and honey and whisk until combined (you can add more/less honey or hot sauce depending on your spice preference)
Let sauce simmer until it starts to thicken
Once wings are cooked add them to the sauce and serve
